Film Showing! "The Passion of Joan of Arc" with Live Score-String Quartet & Chant Choir

Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!   Join us on Saturday, April 6 for a screening of the new restoration of the award winning 1928 silent film classic, The Passion of Joan of Arc, with a modern neoclassical score composed and performed by indie-electronic artist George Sarah and his 8-piece ensemble.  Commissioned by the Los Angeles Grand Performances to create an unforgettable music experience, George Sarah blends his chamber music, rhythms, and electronic keyboard, along with his string quartet and chamber singers to create a modern and Gregorian sound to follow Joan on her sorrowful journey.

Considered one of the best films ever made by more than 100 critics, George Sarah has brought “The Passion of Joan of Arc” to musical life at Film Festivals across the nation including Texas, Sacramento, and Orange County’s Soka Performing Art Center and Bowers Museum. Roger Ebert rates this 4 out of 4 stars / 98% Rotten Tomatoes.  While this film is not rated, we give it a PG-13.
