Our Mission

As COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc in our communities, the residents of Laguna Niguel have been wondering the best way to support our local front line healthcare workers. Hugs for Heroes occurred from a cooperative effort that includes Mission Hospital’s Patient Experience Team, City of Laguna Niguel, Mission Lutheran Church of Laguna Niguel, community volunteers, and participating restaurants. Our local Mission Hospitals (Mission Viejo & Laguna Beach) are accepting support in the form of meals, snacks, and notes of encouragement, also known as a “hug” for our local heroes. This program is designed to send a “hug” from the City of Laguna Niguel to our local healthcare workers while helping our local restaurants and businesses simultaneously. These selfless front-line workers have been working to the point of exhaustion and beyond to keep us safe and healthy and we want to give back to them! We encourage everyone to send a donation to help support these workers! All are encouraged to make donations to purchase meals from Laguna Niguel restaurants and stores, creating a “win-win” for the community. Below are all the ways that you can get involved!
