The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of special events throughout the year that provide volunteer opportunities for residents of all ages. The Department cannot accept court ordered volunteers.

Requirements

  • The City of Laguna Niguel accepts volunteers ages 13 years and older. (Some events have a specific age requirement.)
  • Volunteers 18 years and over and required to be fingerprinted.
  • If you are a minor, under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian must also sign the application giving consent to the terms and conditions set forth in the waiver.
  • Fill out and submit a volunteer application, located in the Volunteer Handbook

Becoming a Volunteer

Please read this entire handbook and complete an online Volunteer Program Application, including the background check release form (only required in certain program areas.) If you are a minor, under 18 years old, your parent or legal guardian must sign the volunteer program application and liability release form. A Parks and Recreation staff member will reach out to you and set up a meeting/interview when your completed application is received.
