The question of when a building permit is required can sometimes be confusing. This is because the codes approach the question from a different perspective. The codes list those items that are not required to have a permit (a much smaller list) rather than those items which are required to have a permit. Please contact Community Development, Business Division, at (949) 362-4360 and ask to speak to a permit technician who will be able to assist you.
If you need to obtain a building permit, visit theCommunity Development Department Building Counter at City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Pkwy. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
