City of Laguna Niguel Demonstration Garden

The Public Works Department installed a new and beautiful, water-saving demonstration garden at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center. The garden replaced the small lawn area with native and water-wise plants, and features a rock swale and rain barrel.

Signage at the garden informs residents of native and drought-tolerant plants that they may plant in their yards. Below, residents may download a shopping list of these featured plants, to take with them when shopping at local nurseries.

The City of Laguna Niguel hopes to inspire residents to consider replacing grass turf lawns with a water-saving garden using native plants that will attract natural pollinators, such as bees and butterflies.
